Information Fowlers may collect from you

Fowlers may collect and process the following data about you:

  • Information that you provide by filling in forms on our site www.fowlersonline.co.uk (“our site”). This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our site, subscribing to our service, posting material or requesting further services. Fowlers may also ask you for information when you report a problem with our site.
  • Information or materials that you provide in any other form including by way of electronic media storage device or in hard copy.
  • If you contact us, Fowlers may keep a record of that correspondence.
  • Fowlers may also ask you to complete surveys that Fowlers use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.
  • Details of transactions you carry out through our site.
  • Details of your visits to our site and the resources that you access.

IP addresses

Fowlers may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. This is statistical data about our users' browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.

Cookies

For the same reason, Fowlers may obtain information about your general internet usage by using a cookie file which is stored on your browser or the hard drive of your computer. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer's hard drive. They help us to improve our site and to deliver a better and more personalised service. Some of the cookies Fowlers use are essential for the site to operate.

Fowler’s websites do not directly use cookies to function, they use a process called PHP_Sessions which do not track or collect personal detail.  They are stored directly on the server and not visitors machines, they also expire automatically and very quickly.

However, Fowlers websites do use 3rd party applications that use cookies for tracking purposes,  these come as part of the following (examples):

  • Google Analytics
  • Google DoubleClick
  • ShareThis (Sharing pages on Ryhurst)
  • Embedding Videos (YouTube or Vimeo)
  • Embedding Social Media Feeds

Where Fowlers store your personal data

All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Where you have completed a form on our site, your personal data will be stored and processed in Jupix property software. Jupix is marketing automation software that we use for assisting with marketing initiatives on our website, and for sending marketing emails. Jupix allows us to collect personal data.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although Fowlers will do our best to protect your personal data, Fowlers cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once Fowlers have received your information, Fowlers will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Uses made of the information

Fowlers use information held about you in the following ways:

  • To ensure that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer.
  • To provide you with information, products or services that you request from us or that Fowlers feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes.
