Marcel Hoad - Managing Director FNAEA CREA FNAEA MARLA FNFOPP
Community Leader. Duck Race Commentator. Property Doyen.
Marcel is a recognized personality both in property and in charity fund raising. Now in his 28th year with Fowlers, Marcel is a specialist in residential property, land and arbitration. He acts for owners, developers, and local and regional governments, and provides ‘expert witness’. He is a graduate of The College of Estate Management, (White Knight Campus), Reading University, and is a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents. Marcel bought out the interest of the Firm’s Founder, Tony Fowler (his cousin), in 2000.

He places a high priority on getting involved with the local community and can regularly be seen and heard providing a running commentary on Storrington’s annual duck race and the ‘throw a custard pie in the face of an estate agent, in which he is the target. Marcel is also past Chairman of Round Table, Storrington, and fundraises for Lorica Trust and Jigsaw.
Tony Fowler - Founder and Advisor

Tony Fowler is the unassuming property legend of his time in West Sussex.

Tony retired from Fowlers in 2000 and spent time exploring the east coast of the United States – sailing across the Atlantic in both directions. Upon returning to dry land, he took to the air and can be seen frequently flying high over West Sussex in his exotic aircraft. In his role as Founder and Consultant, he provides strategic advice and counsel to theco-owners of Fowlers
Paul Rolfe - Director, Storrington

Paul brings our Clients 25 years' experience with independent agencies and national chains before joining Fowlers because he likes 'family firm values'. After working in London and the Home Counties, Paul ran the market leading branch of Michael Jones in Findon for seven years, before joining King and Chasemore in Storrington and settling into his key role at Fowlers in .... He tries to squeeze a bit of soccer in between work and managing a young family.
Caroline Cumber - Branch Sales Manager/Group Secretary
Business Trainer. Visitor to National Trust Locations. Estate Agent.
Caroline brings to Fowlers the invaluable experience of a career in large companies. She worked for Barclays Bank for 12 years and with estate agents, King & Chasemore, part of the Countrywide Group, for 16. She left them as a Head of Training for all the secretaries in the company. In 2009, Caroline moved very successfully into selling property. She knows Steyning well and has worked with both our directors in Storrington and Billingshurst in her previous career.

Caroline likes Zumba dancing, watching movies, eating out and visiting National Trust's locations. She has been married to her husband for over 25 years.
Lisa Wheatley - Sales Negotiator
Retail Manager. Parish Councillor. Chairperson.
Lisa has always put customers first having trained in retail management at Harrods.
She spent her earlier career with some of the great brand names on the High Street including Harrods, Aquascutum and Mothercare before entering the estate agency business.

Lisa, who is married and has a teenage son, devotes much of her spare time to the community. She is a long-serving Parish Councillor in Storrington and is deeply involved with Youth support. She also chairs the Council’s recreation and property committee.
Keith Hutchinson FNAEA - Director, Billingshurst

Keith brings to Fowlers’ clients over 25 years’ residential property experience.
Having lived in Malaysia as a child, he returned to the UK and, after college, entered banking. He soon saw the light and switched to property and has been an estate agent in Surrey and West Sussex since 1985. Keith is a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) and a Qualified Energy Assessor (QEA) so advises on energy conservation in the home.

Golf and fly fishing are on his private agenda, as is his family, which is just as well since he runs our Billingshurst office with Lori, his wife.
Lori Hutchinson - Negotiator
Residential expert. Local resident. Country walker.
Lori provides her clients with a lifetime’s local knowledge of the area.
She has managed offices is several nearby towns and villages working with her clients in Billingshurst, Southwater, Ashington, Horsham and Arundel.

Lori knows Billingshurst in particular because she already both lived and worked in the village before joining the Fowlers team here. She also loves the surrounding countryside where she spends many an hour walking the dog – that’s when she is not spending time with her family and grandsons.
Lynda Paine - Lettings Director

Lynda joins us with a wealth of experience having worked in Residential Lettings for over 20 years, having owned her own agency for many years she has expert knowledge of the Industry. With a friendly and approachable attitude to this sometimes complex business Lynda can make Letting’s a pleasure rather than a daunting prospect. In her own time Horse riding and swimming are her passion, along with good food and the odd glass of wine.
Jamie Hoad - Land Agent
Land & Development. Ski Enthusiast. Cook Extraordinaire.
Completing his A levels in Psychology, Biology, Product Design, Philosophy and Ethics he decided to pursue a career within property. Aiming to work solely on the Land and Development side he has an eye for determining what could be developed, currently learning the business and undergoing courses to push his knowledge he shows potential and practicality in the way he works.

Jamie has previously worked as a Bar Manager in a busy country pub which developed his communication skills and helped build his confidence that lead to the decision to move to property. While studying he underwent a large amount of work experience in a variety of different companies and different roles, this was a way of refining what he was interested in and realised Land and Development was for him. Property development has always been a dream of Jamie’s, being surrounded by development in his own home all his life he took a keen interest.

Jamie has several hobbies including cooking, cycling and socialising but his main interest is skiing.
Lindsay Plummer - Associate
Associate. Horse Enthusiast. Dog Lover
Lindsay has worked in the Fowlers office at Billingshurst for over 9 years and the locals and visitors alike will know Lindsay who was part of the team who ran the Santander agency at the rear of the estate agency office for many years. Sadly that had to close last year so Lindsay moved over to the estate agency side of the business. She is really well known in the village and very much a people person which is handy in this industry. Lindsay's hobbies include her family, walking Bob (below) and looking after her horse.
Caroline Rochead - Weekend Assistant
Local Lady. Good Knowledge of the area. Keen Gymnast.
Caroline has been with Fowlers for many years at our Billingshurst office. She knows the village extremely well and is involved with local matters. She is very much a family person and she and her family also live in village which makes her knowledge of the local area helpful to Fowlers clients. Hobbies include gymnastics which Caroline is very keen on.
Bob - The Fowlers Office Mascot
Helpful Team Member. Loves walking. Keen foodie.
Bob has been at our Fowlers Billingshurst office for about a year now. He greets many clients with enthusiasm and a wag of his tail. He is a huge part of Lindsay's life as was her previous dog, George who many locals will remember too. Bob brings a sense of happiness to the locals and loves all the attention he gets.
Beck Knight - Weekend Assistant

Beck has recently joined our Billingshurst office. She has lived in Billingshurst all her life, and continues to do so with her young family and husband Damian. She has plenty of local knowledge and is a well known figure in and around the villages. Beck has previously worked at Sussex Stationers (aka British Bookshops) in Horsham and had a brief stint at Boots Opticians, also in Horsham. Beck has also been a stay-at-home mum looking after her two young children.

Beck's hobbies include weekly visits to “Music Bus”, a local toddlers singing and movement group. Beck also enjoys singing with “Rock Choir”, upcycling furniture and country walks with her family. She also enjoys gardening, baking, eating cream teas, and is a member of the National Trust.
